Inspired by pre-Raphaelite paintings based on the story of solitary Mariana from William Shakespeare’s play Measure for Measure, written between 1601 and 1606. In the play, Mariana was to be married, but was rejected when her dowry was lost in a shipwreck..

She only said, 'My life is dreary,
      He cometh not,' she said;
    She said, 'I am aweary, aweary,'
      I would that I were dead!'
(Alfred Tennyson, " Mariana " 1830 )

I previously wrote it's a one year old shot, I made a mistake. The session took place last October, I suppose. I'm absent-minded and must have been to the place too many times to remember all the details :)

I don't have any new shots or sessions planned at the moment, so I'll possibly take something from my archives to upload it here from time to time , anyway, thank you for stopping by.

thank you :) Actually I like to escape from monochromes to colour, and vice versa, it's kind a healthy thing for the view at tones , etc ...

P.S. Kiedyś z Teatrem Księżyc robiliśmy spektakl "Dziewica Lilia" inspirowany jedną z opowieści o Rycerzach Okrągłego Stołu i Twoje zdjęcia zawsze przypominają nam to przedstawienie:)
